Sam Henry Bradley
Sam Henry Bradley, 81, Silver Lake, passed away Aug. 9, 2021, at his home surrounded by family. Sam and his twin Bulah were born Feb. 19, 1940, in Salyersville, Ky. to the late Sam and Gracie (Arnett) Bradley. He was one of seven children.
During his senior year of high school, Sam married Lura Dean Hicks Dec. 30, 1958. Together they had four children, David, Cheryl, Sheila, and Samantha Bradley. After twenty-nine years together, Sam and Lura separated but remained close friends. Sam later married Barbarann Mowrer Nov. 30, 1988. They were married a day shy of sixteen years before Barbarann passed away Nov. 29, 2004.
For many years, Sam worked as a welder at Par-Kan Company, Silver Lake, and later worked for Wabash Valley Manufacturing before retiring after many years of service.
Sam was an ornery man who loved to play cards, socialize and play Bluegrass music. He was a talented singer, harmonica player, and yodeler. Sam’s biggest passion aside from his family was fishing, and he treasured his time spent catching fish and being on the banks of the water.
