Claypool Man Arrested For Battering, Choking Woman

WARSAW — A Claypool man was recently arrested after allegedly battering and choking a woman.
Camden Michael Dutton, 27, 9019 S. CR 600E, Claypool, is charged with domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury and strangulation, both level 6 felonies; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Sept. 1, 2020, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s officer responded to a domestic abuse incident. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with a woman who said Dutton physically abused her.
According to court documents, the woman said that during the altercation, Dutton used his hands to choke her until she felt like she was going to pass out. Dutton also allegedly shoved the woman to the ground, causing multiple scrapes and bruises.
The officer noticed the woman had scrapes on her knees, left elbow and her back. Dutton left the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
Dutton was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail for this case on Aug. 8, with a $6,000 surety and cash bond.
