ELKHART  – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of SR 15 near Bristol for a bridge deck overlay.

Crews will be completing the work on the bridge over the Little Elkhart River. S.R.

15 will be closed from S.R. 120 to the Indiana Toll Road.

Work is scheduled to begin on or after August 16 and is expected to last until the end of October.

During the closure, drivers should use the official detour of SR 120, SR 13/US 131, US 12 and Michigan 103/SR 15, or find an alternate route.

INDOT reminds motorists to slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free when traveling in and around all work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
