WARSAW — Zimmer Biomet is reporting a second-quarter net income of $340.2 million, compared to a net loss of $717.3 million during the same period last year.
The company also reported second-quarter net sales of $2 billion, an increase of 65.3% over the prior year period.
“Our performance in the second quarter improved meaningfully from the first quarter 2021 across all regions and product categories as recovery from the global pandemic continued to take hold. While we anticipate some ongoing COVID-19 pressure, we expect continued improvement in procedure volume recovery through the second half of 2021,” said Bryan Hanson, president and chief executive officer of Zimmer Biomet.
