Let’s Move Dance Fitness Class Returns To North Webster Library
News Release
NORTH WEBSTER — After a long hiatus, the popular Let’s Move dance fitness class is returning to North Webster Community Public Library 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, and will be held every Thursday evening until Nov. 18. If your exercise routine is getting boring, join in every week for a fun time of dancing for fitness. The group dances along to dance videos with a variety of music and dance styles. It’s a great way to have fun while working out. The class is free and open to adults of all fitness levels.
There are still openings available in the Beginning Genealogy Course that will be taught 1 p.m. Tuesdays, Aug. 10, 17, 24 and 31. This four-class course teaches you how to get started researching your family history. You will learn about genealogy websites and how to find information online as well as in libraries, courthouses, cemeteries and other places; research techniques; how to organize your research; and much more. The course is free, but pre-registration is required. Sign up at the library’s circulation desk or call 574-834-7122 and take a swing on your family tree.
Do your kids love to spend time on computers and mobile devices? Bring them to the library for some quality screen time. The youth department’s computer carousel is fully equipped with child-friendly computers. The cyber-safe, AWE learning stations feature pre-loaded content that includes interactive games, e-books and fun learning activities for children of all ages. Because the computers are not connected to the internet, children are protected from accessing inappropriate content. For health safety, the computer stations are sanitized after each use.
With school starting next week, be sure to check out the youth department’s many homework helps and learning resources to help prepare your child for a successful school year.
