Tracy David Carter, 60, Nappanee, died unexpectedly of natural causes at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born March 20, 1961, in Wabash, to Bryan and Diane (Smeltzer) Carter. He was a lifetime resident of Nappanee and was a 1979 graduate of NorthWood High School, where he excelled in wrestling along with his twin brother Stacy. On Feb. 14, 1987, he married Sandra Miller at Union Center Church of the Brethren.
He had worked at Forest River Plant 4 for 22 years. He enjoyed being with his family, dogs, and friends. He always enjoyed attending his sons’ athletic events and also enjoyed golfing.
Surviving are his wife: Sandra; sons: A.J. Carter, Nappanee; and Dylan Carter, Mayport, Fla.; twin brother: Stacy Carter, Nappanee; and sister: Shelley (Troy Finefrock) Bond, Nappanee.
Family and friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, and for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Aug. 7, all at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
Rev. Frank Ramirez will officiate and burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
