PIERCETON — Hundreds enjoyed the warm weather and bright skies while attending activities at the annual Pierceton Days Festival on Friday, July 30, and Saturday, July 31.
The two-day festival included fun for the whole family, from live bands and a car show, to bounce houses and a beer tent. This year’s theme for Pierceton Days was “A Night at the Movies.”
A parade was also held during the festivities. The parade started at 3 p.m. and made its way through the middle of Pierceton on SR 13. Entries in the parade included emergency personnel vehicles, vintage cars, school bands, floats and tractors. Several participants followed Pierceton Days’ theme by dressing up as characters and decking out floats based on films such as “Hocus Pocus” and “Grease.”
Throughout the day, food and craft vendors were set up in Brower Park.
Pierceton Days’ festivities will end with a firework show at 10 p.m.
This year’s event was sponsored by the Pierceton Chamber of Commerce, Pierceton Fire Department, the Town of Pierceton, LexLil Contracting LLC and Bowen Center.
