Jerry Scott Beem
Jerry Scott Beem, 49, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, July 27, 2021, after suffering a heart attack. Jerry was born on March 4, 1972 in Plymouth and was raised in the Walkerton area.
Jerry worked at North American Lighting for 14 years as a supplier quality and technical services manager.
On Oct. 1, 1994, Jerry married the love of his life, Christine Sampson, in Plymouth. Jerry received his first Bachelor’s degree in Ministry from Liberty University as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Ball State University. Jerry was an avid sports fan, especially regarding the Notre Dame football team. He loved traveling and camping with his family. Jerry took pride in his work and was a man of great integrity.
Along with Christine “Tina” Beem, his loving wife of 26 years, he is survived by their children, Kaylie Beem of Indianapolis; Lance Corporal Ethan Beem of Quantico, Va.; Jillian Beem of Oakland City; and Jacob Beem at home; his parents, Gerald and June Beem of Plymouth; sister, Stephanie (Dan) Schaller of Culver; brother, Jeff (Gwen) Beem of North Liberty; mother-in-law, Mary Sampson of Walkerton; and father-in-law, Ed Sampson of Mishawaka. Jerry is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family that loved him very much.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, at the Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at the Palmer Funeral Home, within the Palmer Community Complex, 601 N. Michigan Street, Lakeville. Pastor Jeff Cops will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Porter Rea Cemetery (Potato Creek). A dinner will be served after graveside ceremony, back at the Palmer Funeral Home.
