WARSAW — A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital following an accident along US 30 on Wednesday, July 28.
The accident happened at 5:46 p.m. near Silveus Crossing, Warsaw.
According to a Warsaw Police Department accident report, John S. Stull, 81, Warsaw, was traveling eastbound on US 30 in a 2001 Toyota truck.
He got into the left turn lane as he neared the Silveus Crossing intersection. He said the traffic signal was flashing yellow, allowing him to turn if no other traffic was coming from the opposite side.
He believed the way was clear, so he turned. His truck collided with a 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle being driven westbound on US 30 by Philip R. Beer, 63, Craigville.
Beer was transported by ambulance to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne with multiple non-life-threatening injuries.
