Four Departments Respond To Early Morning Oswego Fire

OSWEGO — An early morning fire caused heavy damage to a house in Oswego Thursday, July 29.
Plain Township/Leesburg Fire Department, with assistance from the North Webster, Milford and Warsaw fire departments, responded to the house fire at 5713 N. Second St., Oswego, in Plain Township.
According to Joel Shilling, assistant fire chief for Plain Township/Leesburg, the call came in at 5:43 a.m. Thursday, July 29.
The fire started in a garage and extended to the house approximately 10 feet away.
A cause of the fire has not been determined.
Estimated damage is $80,000 and the fire is still under investigation.
Three adults and two children were in the home and were able to escape without injury.
