Area Accident Reports
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 9:21 a.m. Thursday, July 29, US 30, near East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Ashley L. Williamson, 40, South SR 5, South Whitley; and Frederick B. McKee, 64, East Ponderosa Drive 1, North Webster. Williamson was attempting to turn south onto East Center Street from the right lane on US 30 when she hit McKee’s vehicle. McKee said he was in the left turn lane to turn south onto East Center Street. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
Elkhart County
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 3:37 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, SR 15 and Tarman Road, New Paris. Drivers: Joni Crace, 36, Warsaw; and Bertha Romo Sanchez, 54, Goshen. Crace suffered head pain. A passenger in Crace’s vehicle, Joseph Crace, 29, Warsaw, complained of chest pain. Both were taken to Goshen Hospital. Joni Crace was traveling west out of a parking lot at 67970 SR 15, and drove into the path of Sanchez’s vehicle. Sanchez was cited for driving without a license. Crace was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 6:11 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, SR 19 and CR 100N, Akron. Driver: John M. Robertson, 29, Columbia City. Hit deer.
- 2:16 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, CR 250W and CR 1000W, Kewanna. Driver: Ashlyn E. Foster, 19, Kewanna. Foster’s vehicle went off the road and rolled over.
