COVID-19 Cases Rising Again In Kosciusko County
Staff Report
INDIANAPOLIS — COVID-19 cases are once again rising in Kosciusko County and across the state.
According to the latest weekly numbers from the Kosciusko County Health Department, the county had 51 positive tests from July 18 to July 24. That compares to 33 the week earlier and 12 during the first full week of July.
Meanwhile, Indiana has reported 1,085 new daily cases of COVID-19, the first time it has eclipsed 1,000 since May.
That number was based on tests entered into the Indiana State Department of Health’s records on Monday, July 26. The state has also reported 15 more deaths over a six-day period ending on Monday, July 26.
The new spike coincides nationally with growing concerns about the delta variant and a new recommendation by the Centers for Disease Control about the use of masks.
