Calvin Ray Carlin
Calvin Ray Carlin, 81, Pierceton, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne.
He was born Sept. 15, 1939, in Warsaw, to Eunice Melba (Jones) Carlin and Fred Clifton Carlin. On March 10, 1962, Calvin was married to Mary Elizabeth Enders. They raised two children together, shared the joy of becoming grandparents all throughout their 59 years of marriage together before he passed away.
Calvin was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where he was a 1957 graduate of Pierceton High School. Shortly after graduation he started working at R.R. Donnelley in Warsaw. Calvin was a hard worker, who started off as an apprentice and worked his way up to being a supervisor when he retired in 1998 after 40 years of dedicated and loyal service. He always provided for his family and over the years he made many friends at work. Calvin was a real family man who simply just loved everyone. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed by all.
He will belovingly remembered by his wife: Mary Elizabeth Carlin, Pierceton; son: Calvin Todd (Sarita) Carlin, Warsaw; daughter: Linda (Scott) Sechrist, Warsaw; seven grandchildren: Joshua, Kiran, Joel, Zachary, Nathan, Anna and Abigail; and four great-grandchildren: Calvin, Stephanas, Ashley, and Caitlin. He also leaves behind his two brothers: Wayne (Verna) Carlin, Warsaw; Paul (Kathy) Carlin, Nappanee; and his sister: Kathryn Streby, North Webster.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Calvin’s life will be celebrated privately by his family. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
