Connie Sue Losee, 72, of Leesburg, passed away at 4:50 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born on Feb. 22, 1949, in South Bend, to Leo & Vivian (Nichols) Okal.
She graduated from Mishawaka High School and lived most of her life in Syracuse / Leesburg area. She retired from Syracuse Rubber after 30-plus years in quality control. She formerly worked at the Syracuse Bowling Alley, Louie’s Bar & Grill both in Syracuse, and was the former owner/operator of the Pizzeria in North Webster.
She formerly attended the St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Syracuse.
She is survived by two sons, Mitch (Tamara) Losee, of Syracuse, and Eric (Julie) Losee of Merrill, Wisc.; six grandchildren, Kayla, Heather, Ryan, Josh, Hannah, and Olivia; a great-grandson, Phoenix; a step-sister, Gerry (Gene) Kay, of Syracuse, and a stepbrother, Dan Miner, of Syracuse
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Phil Okal, and companion, Michael Brinkman.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 North SR 15, Warsaw, IN. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Memorial services will follow at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 30, in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating.
