David R. Nolte
David R. Nolte, 74, Rochester, and formerly of Connersville, passed away at 8:07 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2021, at his residence.
He was born on Oct. 19, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of Robert William and Mildred Alberta (Neidenberger) Nolte. David graduated from Connersville High School in 1964 and served with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he graduated from Indiana State University where he obtained his Bachelor and Master Degrees. On Dec. 18, 1982 in Plymouth, he married Linda (Fisher) Lucas and she survives.
David Nolte was a retired High School Industrial Arts Teacher having taught at Triton High School, Oregon- Davis High School, Pike High School, Indianapolis as well as schools at Fort Campbell, Ky., Hampton, S.C. and Cheatham County Schools in Tennessee. He had attended Calvary Church, Plymouth, and had been an active volunteer for Boy Scouts.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Nolte, Rochester; children, Denise (Joe) Shawver, Columbia City; Laura (Chris) Tolle, Katy, Texas; step-children, Michele (Kevin) Vanlue, Plymouth; Jennifer (Brian) Brewer, Argos; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Roberta Wesner and Rebecca Martin.
No services are scheduled. Private interment will take place at Dale Cemetery, Connersville.
