Richard Crews, 81, Syracuse, passed away on July 11, 2021, at Millers Merry Manor of Syracuse.
He was born June 16, 1940, in Indianapolis, to Benjamin and Beatrice (Thompson) Crews. On Aug. 9, 1966 he married Eileen Riley who preceded him in 2007. He was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a Wawasee Lake resident since 1954. He was a 1959 graduate of Syracuse High School. He retired from Weatherhead/Dana after 30 years. He was a member of the Syracuse Eagles, and American Legion.
He is survived by his two daughters: Sue Crews of Fishers, and Carey (Andy) Horvath of Plymouth; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Crews of Syracuse.
Along with his wife Eileen, he was preceded by a brother Frederick, and his parents. ‘
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 24, at the Syracuse Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Syracuse American Legion.
