WARSAW — Waterstone Mortgage hopes to help people achieve their dream of owning a home.
“Just a good experience when you’re looking to buy a home, save money,” said Waterstone Loan Originator Grant Slater about what he hopes the business provides for people in the area.
The Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce had a ribbon-cutting for the business outside of its office building at 523 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw.
Waterstone doesn’t have a physical location of its own in the area, the business will do much of its work online and using space from the chamber for meetings with clients.
Slater has operated Waterstone in the area for about six months, noting he previously met with clients at the Martin’s supermarket coffee shop in Warsaw.
Waterstone has a presence in other locations across the country and started in 2000 in Milwaukee, Wis.
“We’re more personal,” Slater said when asked about whether the company focused on personal or commercial mortgages. “If you’re looking for a new home, new home buyers, we’re big in that. Also if you’re looking to refinance a home, we do that as well.”
He said special discounts would be given to orthopedic company employees who opted to use Waterstone when purchasing a home.
