Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 12, South Huntington Street, north of East Pickwick Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Jesus Garza, 50, Serrano Street, Edinburg, Tex. Garza was traveling north on South Huntington Street and was proceeding through an intersection when he hit a pedestrian in the crosswalk. A witness at the scene said north and southbound lights were green when the pedestrian traveled west into northbound traffic. The pedestrian, Jasmine Conley, 12, Carmel, sustained a bruise to her lower leg area. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 5:03 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, East Market Street, near South Scott Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Brekan S. Manahan, 36, North CR 400E, Warsaw; and Patti A. Haines, 68, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Haines was traveling north on South Scott Street when she stopped at a stop sign and looked both ways. No one was stopped at either stop sign on Market Street, leading to her proceeding through the intersection. Manahan was traveling west on East Market Street when she hit Haines’ vehicle. Two passengers in Manahan’s vehicle, Marlee Vice, 7, Warsaw; and Mattilyn Vice, 9, Warsaw, complained of neck pain and were checked by medics at the scene. Damage up to $25,000.
- 12:39 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, East Winona Avenue, near South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Wesley E. Shuler, 23, East Market Street, Warsaw; and Sandra K. Sickman, 72, West Jackson Street, Plymouth. Shuler was traveling east on West Winona Avenue when he rear-ended Sickman’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
