Glenn A. Anders
Glenn A. Anders, 78, passed away at 11:29 a.m. Sunday, July 4, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Glenn was born Sept. 22, 1942, in Inwood, to the late Marvin Glenn and Oreanna “Bea” (Amones) Anders. He lived most of his life in Plymouth.
On May 29, 1964 in Plymouth, Glenn and Linda L. Cummins were united in marriage. Linda preceded him in death Feb. 26, 2014 , after 49 years of marriage. Linda was the love of his life and he missed her greatly. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Marva Jane (the late Jess) Hill; and brother-in-law, Jay Shook. Glenn was self-employed most of his life as the owner and operator of Anders Decorating Service.
Glenn is survived by his two children: Amy (Tim) Murphy of Plymouth; and Rodney (Shannon) Anders of Lakeville; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Shook of Plymouth; and his brother, Jerry (Sandy) Anders of Plymouth.
Glenn was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family, all sports and woodworking. In his spare time, you could find him supporting his grandkids and great grandkids at all of their many activities. We will all miss him greatly but are happy that he is reunited with the love of his arms and resting in the arms of Jesus.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 9, at the Palmer Funeral Home, within the Palmer Community Complex, 601 N. Michigan Street, Lakeville. Graveside services and burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 8 and from 10-11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
