Edgar C. Nash
Edgar C. Nash, 87, Gilead, passed at 2:07 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2021, at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Center of Wabash.
Ed was born on Sept. 18, 1933, in Eden, Texas to the late William and Lorene (Radcliff) Nash. He was married Nov. 26 1981, in Sullivan, to Barbara L. Brown, who preceded him in death on Nov. 6, 2015.
Ed was a graduate of Butler Township Schools of Miami County. He worked as a self employed carpet layer for many years as well as for the Railroad. Ed was a Mason. He was a member of the Lincoln Lodge #523 of Macy. He was a horse and mule lover and enjoyed caring for them.
He is survived by his children: Mike Nash of Peru; Tammy Everroad of Mexico; Kelley and husband Anthony Schultz of Akron; Jim and wife Jodie Minks of Sullivan; John and Peggy Minks of Sullivan; Joe Minks of Sullivan; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister Elizabeth Weeks of Peru; and companion Debra Moore.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara Nash, grandsons Jordan and Jason; and a granddaughter Tiffany.
A private memorial service will be held in his honor at a later date.
The arrangements have been entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home 305 West Rochester Street Akron.
