Lloyd Hurley Jr.
Lloyd Hurley Jr., 68, Etna Green, passed at 2:37 p.m., Sunday, June 27, 2021, surrounded by his family at his residence.
Lloyd was born April 13, 1953, in Hurley, Virginia to the late Lloyd and Lena (Blankenship) Hurley. He married Wanda Adams March 10, 1983 in Grundy, Va. She survives.
Junior retired from Franklin Homes of Nappanee, where he worked in the Mill Room. In years past, he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and hunting. He was an avid motorcycle rider and he most recently could be seen on his trike. He could be found on many days watching Westerns. He loved traveling and was looking forward to going back to the mountains. Junior had a big heart and never met a stranger. He was always there to help his family, friends, and neighbors.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Wanda Hurley of Etna Green; children Keith Hurley of Mentone; Missy Hurley of Warsaw; Kellie Hurley of Etna Green; and Frankie Greer of Silver Lake; son-in-law David Gill of Etna Green; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings Phyllis Hurley of Freeburn, Ky.; Sue Blankenship of Vansant, Va.; Randell Keyser of Donaldson.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents, a great granddaughter Paisley, brothers Bobby Hurley, James Hurley, and Eddie Hurley, and sisters Ruby Hurley and Opal Phillips.
The funeral service will take place 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 1, at King Memorial Home 101 North Tucker Street Mentone, Indiana with Pastor Ken Cooke officiating.
The interment will take place in the Etna Green Cemetery, Etna Green, following the service.
Visitation will be from 5 pm to 8 pm, Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at King Memorial Home, Mentone.
