It’s not too late to sign up for Tails and Tales summer reading. Read or listen to books, log your progress and all ages win prizes.
Enjoy stories, activities and special guests during Stories in the Park. This children’s series will take place at 11 a.m. every Thursday in July at Winona Lake Park. In the event of bad weather, you can watch the event on Facebook Live. Children can also watch their favorite librarians during Story Time on Facebook each Monday at 11 a.m., and Bedtime Stories continue on Facebook every Thursday evening at 7 p.m. with special guest readers.
Leap into Science with a story and fun activities for the whole family at 4:30 p.m. July 8.
Recreate shadows using blocks or make your own art using a flashlight. Visit different activity stations and move at your own pace. Preschoolers through sixth grade will enjoy attending.
Needle felt an adorable gnome with Rachel Kruger at 5 p.m. on July 13. The class fee of $30 includes all the supplies you need to craft one gnome with shoes. Payment is due at advance registration by cash or check.
Teens can craft a beautiful sun catcher at 2p.m. on July 15. Teens can join in person or watch virtually at a later time on YouTube. This event is free, but seats are limited. Please register in advance.
Do you like cats? Or drawing? Or maybe both? Watch “Unbox the L.O.T.” and learn how to play the The Cat Game on July 19 at 4 PM. This event is offered on Facebook Live and YouTube.
Understand how the brain, one of the most complex organs in the human body, works. Find ways to help keep your brain healthy as you age. Fun, interactive brain puzzles provided. Prior registration is required.
Pet and learn how to care for small animals during 4-H Pocket Critters at 11 a.m. July 28. This event is held in partnership with the Purdue University 4-H Extension.
