ATWOOD — Four people were taken to the hospital following an accident near Atwood on Thursday, June 24.

The accident happened at 5:29 p.m. at West US 30, north of North CR 650W.

According to a report from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Jennifer L. Naue, 31, Argos, was driving a 2014 Subaru Outback northbound on CR 650W and stopped at the intersection. She waited for traffic and then went to cross US 30.

She said she didn’t see the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado traveling eastbound on US 30, being driven by Larry M. Griffin, 52, Warsaw. She pulled out in front of it, causing Griffin’s truck to hit her vehicle.

Naue’s husband took her to the hospital for treatment after she complained of pain. Griffin and two passengers in his vehicle, Melissa M. Griffin, 45, and Gracelynn M. Griffin, both of Warsaw, were all taken to the hospital for treatment.

Damage in the accident is estimated at up to $10,000.
