More Heavy Rain Expected Overnight; Precipitation Possible Into Mid-Week
Staff Report
WARSAW — Heavy rain is expected to continue into Saturday morning, June 26, but that doesn’t mean an end to the rain.
A flash flood watch is in effect until 8 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
The warning affects Kosciusko County and much of northern Indiana and southwest Michigan.
Heavy rain in excess of two inches has already fallen over portions of the watch area and another round of heavy rain is expected Friday night with an additional 1 to 2 inches possible.
People living in flood-prone locations, such as near creeks, low spots and poor drainage areas may be affected.
Showers are likely Saturday and Saturday night. Temps will reach a high of 84.
A chance of thunderstorms will continue Sunday when the high will be near 86.
Chances of rain will continue through mid-week, the weather service said.
