Donna J. Hillery, 81, Milford, passed away at 1:57 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born Sept. 21, 1939, in Peoria, Ill. to Harold C. and Cloye E. (Tusing) Stone.
She graduated from Nappanee High School and was a lifetime Nappanee and Milford area resident. She was married Dec. 8, 1979, in Nappanee, to David Leroy “Dave” Hillery who preceded her Dec. 1, 2010.
She retired in 1998 as a clerk at Sprint Corporation after 32 years of service.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Milford.
She is survived by three daughters: Deb Smith, Lesia VanLue, and Amiee (Steve) Bowler, all of Milford; son, Gene (Tanya) Tyler of Milford; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchldren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Ila Miller of Nappanee; brother, Dale (Yoshiko) Stone of Oceanside, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Cheyenne VanLue, and two sons-in-law, Don Smith and Dan VanLue.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at Owen Family Funeral home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Memorial services will follow at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
