Edna Elizabeth Brown
Edna Elizabeth Brown, 90, Fremont, passed away at 12:10 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021, at her home. She was born Nov. 13, 1930, in Hamilton, to Leonard Jacob and Edna Mae (Rogers) Petre.
She attended Hamilton High School and lived most of life in the Angola and Hamilton area except for a brief time in Goshen. She was married Nov. 27, 1948, in Angola, to John Brown who preceded her April 1988. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at a wire factory in Hamilton.
She formerly attended the Assembly of God Church in Angola.
She is survived by her daughters: Marlene (Robert) Snyder, Angola; and Charlene (Granville) Joseph, Fremont; son, Tyler Brown, Mishawaka; two sisters: Zora Robinette, Fort Wayne; Katie Suddith, Michigan; 14 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Elizabeth Knuckles, son, Clifford Brown, four sisters: Dorothy Bienz, Doris Cummings, Emmy Summy, and Lois Beavers, brother, Leonard “Jake” Petre, and half-brother, Ellis Reeder.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in the South Scott Cemetery in Angola. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
