Andrew M. Miller
Andrew M. “Andy” Miller, 64, Elkhart, formerly of Syracuse, passed away at 6:05 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw. He was born on May 24, 1957, in Orange, Texas to Gerald Melvin and Virginia Louise (Bruner) Miller Jr.
He graduated in 1976 from W.W. Samuel High School in Dallas, Texas and attended Eastfield Junior College. He was married Dec. 22, 1987, in Dallas, Texas to Peggy A. (Clay) Briggs, who preceded him April 6, 2019. He was formerly employed as a border patrol officer, security enforcement officer, military security officer, all in Texas; Millennium Industries in Syracuse; and Par Mar Security in Goshen. He grew up in Texas and moved to the Syracuse area in 1992 from Dallas.
He formerly attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse and was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Syracuse.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Ricky) Rollins, Warsaw; son, Louis Miller of Albuquerque, N.M.; stepdaughter, Misty Briggs of Elkhart; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; two brothers: Gerald Miller, Texas and John Miller, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery.
