Richard “Dick” VanDiepenbos, loving husband and father of three children, passed away March 20, 2021, at the age of 75.
Dick was born July 13, 1945, in Goshen, to Neil and Augusta (Holderman) VanDiepenbos.
He retired from NIPSCO after 34 years of service.
On May 27th, 1966 he married the love of his life Kathy Ritter.
They raised two daughters: Lori (Tom) Fultz, and Kristi Carter; one son, Mike (Lisa) VanDiepenbos.
Dick’s passion was baseball, fishing and any sports. He was much admired by friends and family and will be dearly missed.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Ruth Ann Grove and Nancy Summers. He is survived by his brother Tom (Edna) VanDiepenbos, his wife and three children; grandchildren: Travis (Ashley) Green, Robert Fultz, Ashley Chaney, Jada Carter, Alex Hogenboom, and Clayton VanDiepenbos; several greatgrandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews also survive him.
There will be a celebration of life from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at the Eastlund Funeral Home.
