Karen Lynn Freese, 53, Rochester, passed at 6:45 a.m., Friday, June 18, 2021, at St. Joseph Hospital of Fort Wayne.
Karen was born Dec. 26, 1967, in Marion, to Edzell Gale and Edna Louise (Hamilton) Chandler. She married Sept. 28, 2007, to Tim W. Freese, he survives.
Karen was a graduate of Logansport High School in 1986. She furthered her education at the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources. She had been a CNA and then was a QMA for Camelot Care Center of Logansport. She then became a social worker for the Bowen Center of Warsaw.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandson, crocheting, and caring for her dogs. Karen was known to be bold. She had a strong will and was a solid figure in her family’s lives. She was able to do anything she put her mind to.
Karen is survived by her husband, Tim Freese, Rochester; son, Stephen and wife Renate Arthur, Kokomo; daughter, Kaitlyn Arthur and boyfriend Ryan Serna, Kokomo; grandson Cameron; mother Louise Chandler, Rochester; brothers: Roger Chandler, Rochester; and Steven Chandler, Logansport; sister, Sandra and husband Jim Warren, North Carolina; and four nephews and two nieces.
Preceding her in death is her father, Edzell Chandler.
A memorial service is currently being planned at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
