Robert “Bob” Reed, 88, Franklin, Wisc., formerly of Warsaw and Syracuse, passed away peacefully June 11, 2021.
Bob was born Feb. 25, 1933, in Plymouth to Ronald and Doris (Grant) Reed. He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1951 and enlisted in the United States Navy where he served aboard the destroyer the U.S.S.Brush for four years. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1959 and then graduated from Indiana University School of Law in 1962.
Bob and the former Jean Rees, were married on Dec. 18, 1960. She survives.
Bob moved to Syracuse to open his practice with his new bride. Bob served as the attorney for the town of Syracuse for more than 40 years and several years for the Wawasee School Corporation.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Reed; and three children: Angie Reed, Chicago, Ill.; Amy (Carlos) Reed Salgado, Chicago, Ill.; and Andrew (Sheila Bogart) Reed, Milwaukee, Wis.; as well as six grandchildren: Alex and Hannah Cohen, Sidney and Libby Reed, Reese and Grant Salgado.
His big smile, quick wit, and one-liners will be sorely missed but will live on through his family.
