Billie Lee Watson — UPDATED
Billie Lee Watson, 79, Plymouth, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021, at home with his family, after a long illness.
Billie was born the son of Charles (CW) Watson and Nellie Murray, March 15, 1942, at Plymouth.
Bill absolutely loved Plymouth. He was owner of the newsstand in downtown Plymouth where he enjoyed meeting the public. He loved his family, auto racing and everything he did. He was a graduate of Plymouth High School.
On Jan. 9, 1961, he married Mary Lois Hammond, who survives.
Bill and Lois had four children: April Dawn who preceded him in death; Yvonne (Mike) Mann of Plymouth; Justin “Lars” (Susan) Watson of Etna Green; and William Lee (Gina) Watson of Plymouth; grandchildren: Dustin Cooper, Brandon (Jessica) Cooper, Jordan (Sara) Cooper, AJ Cooper, Katlyn (Mike) Watson, Jarred Watson and Lindsey Watson and great-grandchildren: Caitlyn, Kendall, Kamden and Daelyn. Also surviving are his sisters: Andrea Bunch, Lisa Doody, Jennifer Reed and brother Jon Watson.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Jeanne Watson, Nellie and Joe Long; daughter, April Dawn; and brothers: Terry Long, JD Watson, Chuck Watson and Tim Watson.
In honoring Bill’s wishes, there are no services planned.
