Barn North Of Pierceton Destroyed By Fire

PIERCETON – A barn that had been part of a family farm for upward of 150 years was destroyed by fire Thursday afternoon, June 10.
The fire at 4872 East Old Road 30 started shortly after 5 p.m. and smoke could be seen from miles away.
The cause of the fire was undetermined. There were no injuries.
The heat from the blaze melted some of the siding on a nearby home.
Beacon.com lists the owner as Ellen Rowland.
A resident said the barn has been part of the family farm for upward of 150 years.
