Virginia Duncan Shanbeck
Virginia Duncan Shanbeck, 83, and previously of Warsaw, passed away March 22, 2021, in her Dade City, Fla. home.
She was predeceased by her parents Charles W. and Helen (Virgin) Pittman. She was born in Flushing, Long Island, N.Y. Known as the “Dutchess of Duncan” when she was a stunt driver, “Ginger” or “Jinny,” as many knew Virginia, was retired as a police officer from Tampa International Airport.
She is survived by a sister, Carolyn (Bob) Roe of Leesburg, Fla.; two sons: Leland and Andy Duncan of South Carolina; four beloved grandchildren: Brooke, Shea, Samantha and Tanner; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many cousins. She is also survived by a family of special friends, the Farrens of Concord, N.C.
A memorial service will be held at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12. Visitation will take place for one hour prior with interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
