Philip Arnold Wilson
Philip Arnold Wilson died peacefully at home on Dec. 16, 2020.
Philip was born Nov. 13, 1935, to Maggie Ruby (Jameson) and Paul Wilson.
He and Dora Jean (Larimer) were married in 1956 and enjoyed 64 years together. Phil is survived by his wife; sons: Philip Michael Wilson and Patrick Steven Wilson; daughter Alicia (Wilson) Allen; and by his loving sister, Patsy Ann (Wilson) Brallier.
Phil has seven grand children and one great grandchild. Phil will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Phil was born and raised in Warsaw, joining the US Navy after High School. After the Navy, Phil had a long career in the US Government.
Philip had a wry sense of humor, and was fond of making up rather salty sayings. He had a great interest in genealogy, and enjoyed improving the house and yard. But the most important thing in Philip’s life was his family. They were his special pride and joy, and he never failed to stress that the family comes first. He was modest in taste and lifestyle, but extravagant in his breadth of mind and interest. Philip was funny, and smart, and sometimes made us crazy with his neatness and organization.
A memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday June 15, at Celebration Church, 1289 S 250 E, Winona Lake. A short reception follows from 10:30 a.m.-noon.
