Howard R. Hart Jr.
Howard R. Hart Jr., 60, passed away unexpected at his home on Saturday, May 29, 2021.
On June 18, 1960, Howard Raymond Hart Jr was born in Westfield, Mass. He was a treasured son of Howard R. and Wonita Joan Bell Hart. Growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters, Pam and Miriam, and a brother Paul. Howie attended North Miami Schools and was a member of the NMHS class of 1978.
In Rochester, June 28, 2011, Howie married the love of his life, Miss Barbara Jane Brady. They have shared a decade of life’s adventures. Howie was an 11-year member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagle.
With a strong work ethic, Howie had diverse interests and was accomplished professionally in many realms. He was an excellent concrete finisher with Richards Concrete. As an entrepreneur he served Fulton County’s video needs with Hart’s Video Store and later opened HRH Gutters. Howie worked for several years at Lobdell-Emery and recently completed 15 years of service with Lau Industries.
As an accomplished angler, Howie looked forward to fishing South Mud and Nyona Lakes. Trips to Florida brought opportunities to wet the line in the Gulf of Mexico. He also enjoyed cruising around the countryside on his 1998 red Harley-Davidson motorcycle to chill.
Left to cherish Howie’s memory are his wife Barbara at home; three children: Amber Brady of Indianapolis; Andrew Johnson, Brittney Eriks (R.J.), all of Rochester; three siblings: Pam Frush (Mike) of Bloomfield; Paul Hart (Ann) of Macy, Miriam Hart-Chavarria (Juan) of Miramar, Fla.; eight grandchildren: Ayven Porter, Graysen Eriks, Emreigh Eriks, Kayden Eriks, Isaiah Johnson, Kaiden Johnson, Paige Shafer and Rhiley Hellyer; mother-in-law Betty Brady and life partner Richard Miller of Rochester; brother-in-law Joe Brady (Patty) of Rochester; sister-in-law Rachel Rhymer (Todd) of Kewanna; and his treasured canine companion, Wilson, the jet black with white accents custom Pitty blend.
Preceding Howie in death are his parents, and a grandson Jordan A. Shafer Aug. 12, 2015.
A celebration of the life of Mr. Howie R. Hart will be, at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 3, in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th Street, Rochester. Pastor Todd Rhymer will officiate. Howie’s family will receive friends Wednesday, June 2, from 4-7 p.m. and an hour prior to the service on Thursday.
