Area Police Reports
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following incident:
- 1:31 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 5700 block of North CR 750E, North Webster. A backhoe on a trailer being pulled by a dump truck caught a cable wire bringing down several poles belonging to CenturyLink.
Goshen
Officers with the Goshen Police Department investigated the following incident:
- 2:37 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2500 block of Linden Drive, Goshen. Destiny Setterberg, New Paris, reported items were stolen from her vehicle that was vandalized.
Elkhart County
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incidents:
- 9:24 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 16000 block of CR 46, New Paris. A large fight was reported at New Paris Speedway. It was later discovered a male suspect punched another person and left the scene.
- 5 p.m. Friday, May 21, 68000 block of Clinton Street, New Paris. Police were notified of a violation of a court order.
- 10:53 a.m. Friday, May 21, 72000 block of CR 133, Syracuse. Trent Klotz, Syracuse, reported fraudulent activity between May 5 and May 7.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incidents:
- 8:25 p.m. Sunday, May 23, Germany Bridge to Leiters. A lost wallet in the river was reported between Germany bridge to Leiters.
- 8:52 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 4500 block of CR 750W, Rochester. A bicycle was found behind a building.
- 6:30 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 3500 block of Broadway, Gary. A caller reported his 1999 Ford Taurus was just stolen from a gas station in Gary. Lake County officials were notified.
- 4:53 p.m. Friday, May 21, CR 900E, Akron. Police were notified that cords to multiple items in the house and air conditioner had been cut and several doors kicked in. Copper wiring was reported stolen.
