Kelsie Lynn Biltz — UPDATED
Kelsie Lynn Biltz, 26, Rochester, was fatally injured when her motorcycle collided with a car that pulled in her path on Friday evening, May 21, 2021. She was pronounced deceased at Logansport Memorial Hospital shortly after her arrival.
On June 4, 1994, Kelsie was born in Logansport. She was the treasured daughter of Anthony “Andy” D. Biltz and Renda Doss. Kelsie was a 2013 graduate of Rochester High School. Being very competitive, she excelled in basketball and cross country. She was also a peer helper. Kelsie would also enter dirt bike competitions as she preferred two wheels.
With a strong work ethic, Kelsie was an accomplished fork lift driver, for Rochester Homes. Previously, she worked at Lau Industries, Kroger’s and The Label Shopper.
With a great love for the outdoors, Kelsie floated the Tippecanoe or Wabash Rivers. She enjoyed the challenges of deer hunting and fishing year around. Summertime brought on floating around the Lake Manitou on the pontoon and swimming to chill out. Kelsie’s vibrant personality and warm smile would light up any room as she brought love and happiness to all she met. Aunt Kelsie was greatly admired by her nieces and nephews and she loved being their aunt. Listening to REO Speedwagon and playing the PlayStation were great ways to relax.
Left to cherish Kelsie’s memory are her fiancee Jon-Tae Harper of Rochester; parents: Andy and Kim Biltz of Kewanna; and Renda Doss of Logansport; four sisters: Brittany Abbott, Taylor Shackelford, Destiny Rice and Crystal Smith; a brother Johnathan Miller; grandparents: Terry and Lynn Biltz and Pamela and Harold Conklin; and numerous nieces and nephews who also survive.
A celebration of the life of Kelsie Lynn Biltz will be held at 6 p.m.Thursday May 27, in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th Street Rochester, with Mr. Alvin Doss and Mr. Rick Sexton officiating. Her family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
The family asks that everyone be aware of motorcycles.
