WARSAW — A small fire was quickly extinguished at Dalton Corp in Warsaw on Friday, May 21.
It started at about 10:15 a.m. Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory and the Warsaw Police Department responded to the scene.
Law enforcement reported that 2-foot tall flames could momentarily be seen at the top of the stack, said WWFT Chief Mike Wilson. Employees at the foundry were able to put out the fire before WWFT arrived on the scene.
Wilson said the fire was contained to the stack and it was accidentally started by workers who were welding in the area.
