Irvin J. Unsicker, 79, Bremen, died unexpectedly of natural causes at 8:45 p.m., Monday, May 17, 2021, at his residence. He was born Oct. 18, 1941, in Nappanee to Joseph and Mary (Heiber) Unsicker.
Mr. Unsicker lived his lifetime in the Nappanee/Bremen area. He was a 1960 graduate of Nappanee High School. Irvin was a veteran of the United States Army. On Aug. 9, 1970, he married Margaret Kollever. She preceded him in death Feb. 3, 2015.
Mr. Unsicker was a farmer, truck driver, and woodworker. After retirement, he was a driver for his amish neighbors. He enjoyed making keepsakes as a woodworker. Irvin enjoyed being a part of Nappanee Caregivers.
Surviving are his children, Mary Jo (Roger) Martin, Goshen, Fred (Shannon) Unsicker, Milan, John Unsicker, Bremen; granddaughters, Neveah Schlundt, Willa Unsicker; grandsons, Brice, Levi, Isaiah Day; and sister, Carol (Tom) Richards, Mishawaka. He was preceded in death by his wife and brother, Terry Unsicker.
Family and friends may call from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, May 22, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Union Center East Cemetery.
