Stanley “Stan” Stump, 74, Milford, peacefully passed away, Wednesday, May 19, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Stan was born Jan. 14, 1947, in Warsaw to Dale and Glennis (Orn) Stump. He married Natalie Ostendorf, Aug. 22, 1970.
Stan graduated from Milford High School in 1965 and was drafted into The United States Army in May of 1966. Stan honorably served his country during Vietnam and was a Purple Heart recipient. He then went to work for NIPSCO where he was employed for many years until his retirement. Stan was a member of Milford Christian Church and served as Post Commander of American Legion Post 226 for 40 years where he put in countless hours preparing for the many events Post 226 was a part of. Stan was a humble, patient man but also loved a good practical joke. He loved teasing the grandkids, riding snowmobiles and was an avid mushroom hunter. He enjoyed tinkering in the shed and playing poker with the guys on Thursday nights. He loved his family and cherished spending time with them all.
