Man Arrested On New Charges After Immediately Getting Out Of Jail
Staff Report
LEESBURG — A Leesburg man was released from jail and arrested hours later after kicking in a residence’s door and threatening a woman.
Tylor Michael Hall, 27, who has a Leesburg Post Office Box for an address, is charged with burglary, a level 4 felony; stalking and residential entry, both level 6 felonies; and intimidation and criminal mischief, both class A misdemeanors.
In October 2019, Hall was convicted of domestic battery in the presence of a child. Part of the sentencing order and rules of probation prohibited Hall from contacting the woman he battered, with the exception being discussions on parenting.
The no-contact order remained in effect until May 18 of this year, and Hall was released from jail on May 18.
According to court documents, prior to being released from jail, Hall called the woman from the jail. In the recorded portion of the call where the caller identifies themselves by name, Hall allegedly yelled in a hostile and angry voice, “I just want to let you know how ****** you are when I get out of here!”
The woman recognized the voice as Hall and did not accept the call. However, the incident frightened her and she was afraid Hall would come after her.
Later that day, Hall appeared at the woman’s residence. She saw Hall coming toward her residence’s front door and yelled that he wasn’t allowed to be there and needed to leave. Hall kicked in the residence’s door, shattering the door frame. He entered the home without permission and spoke with the children who were at the residence, then left.
After Hall left the home the first time, he then re-entered the residence by crossing the door’s threshold and destroyed the woman’s home security camera. After doing this, Hall left the scene.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s officers responded to the scene and noticed the damaged door frame. One of the children at the scene said Hall broke the door.
Hall was later found in Warsaw. When officers stopped him, he immediately interjected that the door was already broken without being prompted about the issue.
Hall has a history of threatening the woman, including in a jail phone call and through text messages.
He was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on May 18, with a $26,500 surety and cash bond. A special condition of Hall’s bond includes ankle bracelet monitoring.
