Loretta Skelton
Loretta Skelton, 80, Syracuse, passed away at 4:58 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2021, at her home. She was born Oct. 1, 1940, in Nappanee, to William and Dorothy (Holderman) Keifer.
She grew up in Nappanee and attended Northridge High School in Nappanee. She moved to Syracuse in 1966 and was married Dec. 23, 1966, to Ray O. Skelton who survives. She was formerly employed at Syracuse Rubber Company for 20 years and was the owner and operator of her own home cleaning service.
She formerly attended the Church of God in North Webster.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Skelton of Syracuse; four daughters: Rebecca (Kevin) Enyeart of North Webster; Melanie (Terry) Green of Syracuse; Stephanie Skelton of Syracuse; and Tonya Keifer of Auburn; two sons: Ray J. Skelton of North Webster; and Steve Stoner of Marcellus, Mich.; two stepdaughters: Cheryl (Rick) Bauman of Elkhart; and Brenda (Roger) Baumgartner of New Paris; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Wiladean Schrock of Bremen and Barbara Amadeo of Goshen; two brothers: Virgil Keifer and Bill Keifer both of Battle Creek, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. A private family celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
