WARSAW — Kosciusko Honor and Remember has been given the additional challenge by a private donor to conduct a “roll call” for all living World War II veterans currently residing in Kosciusko County.
“Celebrating America’s Veterans” will be held on June 4 during First Friday, where veterans who have served honorably in the military since May 8, 1975, are going to be honored.
“A private donor asked that we compile a list of how many World War II vets are still living in Kosciusko County,” said Ken Locke, a member of Kosciusko Honor and Remember.
The First Friday event will begin at 5 p.m. on June 4 in downtown Warsaw, with the Lake Area Community Band presenting a concert at 6:30 p.m. The ceremony celebrating veterans and the roll call will begin at 7:30 p.m.
