Forrest Lee Robinson — UPDATED
Forrest Lee Robinson, 87, Somerset, Ky., passed away Nov. 10, 2020, at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Hospital in Somerset.
Forrest was born Dec. 1, 1932, in New Paris, to the late Forrest Robinson and Nancy Bontrager Robinson. Forrest graduated from New Paris High School and Tri State University.
He served in the U.S Army, stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He worked for Northrop Grumman as a contract negotiator for 20 years. He spent a year in North Dakota when the Government put in the missile system. He also spent five years in Tehran, Iran, when the underground communications system was installed. After retiring he spent many years in Montana and Idaho ranching. He enjoyed being outdoors.
Forrest is survived by a son, John R. Robinson of Chatsworth, Calif.; a twin sister, Rose Kauffman of Goshen; and a sister, Doris Atherton of Somerset, Ky.; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were both of his parents.
Graveside services will be held at New Paris Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021.
