Triton 5, Knox 0
Triton made another bold statement in its quest for a Hoosier North Athletic Conference title with a shutout win at Knox Wednesday.
Doubles play was all Triton, with Lexia Hostrawser and Emma Hepler shutting out Kennedy Holst and Lauren Combs and Cheyenne Hawley and Danica Kuntz earning a 6-1, 6-0 win against Miranda McCarty and Sam McGrath.
Lilly Hubert also had a dominant win in singles, taking a three and love contest with Kate Bridegroom. Madeline Ritchison corralled Mallory McIntire four and three, and at No. 1, Molly McFarland bested Carissa Kulpa 6-0, 7-5 to complete the sweep.
JV finished 6-0 in favor of Triton.
Warsaw 3, Concord 2
Warsaw took on its second Northern Lakes Conference opponent in as many nights, edging the visiting Minutemen.
Court winners for Warsaw included Regan Brouwer at two singles and Megan Mishler at three singles along with the one doubles pairing of Marie Frazzetta and Peri Britton.
Concord had Rylee Brenneman win at one singles and its two doubles team of Maggie Burkert and Addi May earn a court win.
Concord won five of the eight JV courts.
Tippecanoe Valley 5, LaVille 0
Valley dominated all five matches from start to finish to overwhelm the visiting Lancers.
Valley’s No. 1 singles player, Hannah Parson, won over Becka Bower 6-2, 6-2, and No. 2 Gigi Engstrand defeated Alley Maenhout 6-1, 6-0. Peyton Oldham capped the singles onslaught with a 6-3, 6-1 triumph over Alaina Kertai.
In doubles action, the team of Kaitlin Neese and Mackenzie Costello beat Elaina Franz and Lauren Hominiuk 6-3, 6-1 while Valley’s Jada Hicks and Andie Sweneger dominated Jolie Gonzalez and Makayla Johnson 6-0, 6-0.
