Once in Saugatuck, participants will ride the Dune Schooner for a 40- minute tour of the area’s dune. The tour will make three stops to provide information and photographs. Following the dune tour, guests will have lunch and shop at Saugatuck’s many eclectic shops and boutiques.
After exploring downtown Saugatuck, participants will relax with a cruise on the Kalamazoo River onboard the Star of Saugatuck, a 150-passenger authentic sternwheeler. The trip features narration about the local lore and rich maritime history of the area.
The return bus trip will include a stop at Culver’s in Stevensville, Michigan for ice cream or a bite to eat.
Health, well-being and enjoyment are top priorities for the sponsors during this time of Covid-19 restrictions. The number of passengers will be limited to 32 on the 56-passenger bus. Current regulations for wearing facial coverings are recommended but will not be required while on the bus. Some shops and attractions may require masks and participants are asked to comply if required.
