Several Valley individuals had double event wins in the dual with the Squires in the home Three Rivers Conference meet Thursday.
Wade Melanson and Chloe Shepherd both won the throws for the Vikings, Melanson sending the shot put 49-1 and the discus 112-10.5 while Shepherd followed at 26-7 and 85-5.25, respectively.
Sidney Wagner won two events on the girls side, taking pole vault uncontested at 6-0 and winning high jump at 4-6. Alex Mikel had two wins for the Viking boys, taking the pole vault at 8-0 and the 400 dash at 54.72.
Braden Shepherd claimed the long jump at 19-4.5, Dawson Perkins won the high jump at 5-8 and the Valley 4×100 raced to a 45.69 win.
Warsaw Boys 95, Mishawaka 36
The Tigers opened Northern Lakes Conference play with a resounding win at home over the Cavemen.
Warsaw won 12 of the 16 events, headlined by 110 and 300 hurdles wins from Andrew Frush at 16.38 and 44.17, and Aiden Binkerd in the 100 and 200 dashes at 11.56 and 24.45. Tanner Stiver won the 800 at 2:03.69 and Sam Lechlitner took the mile at 4:45.26.
Warsaw also claimed the 4×100 relay at 46.20 and the 4×800 relay at 8:57.52.
In the field, Jeremy Johnson claimed the long jump at 19-1.5 and Cameron Harness cleared 5-8 to win the high jump. Trace Stookey won shot put at the 45-9 and Will Wells sent the discus 138-08 for honors.

Concord Boys 92, Plymouth 40
Wawasee opened its NLC circuit at Plymouth Thursday in a trio joined by Concord.
The Warriors grabbed just one event win, taking the 4×400 relay at 3:47.85, won by Cade Beer, Mason Possell, Camden Powell and Ben Haines.
Haines would have a pair of near-misses earlier in the meet, taking second place in both the half-mile and one-mile runs. In the half, Haines was .39 behind Concord’s Anthony Roberts’ 2:13.50 and trailed Concord’s Colyn Chris by .28, Chris winning the mile at 5:01.96.
Lakewood Park Takes Both Sides Of LCA Invite
LPC won both the boys and girls titles at Thursday’s LCA Invite held at Grace College.
The LPC girls scored 171 points to best the five-team field of Christian schools, LCA in fifth at 63.50. The LPC boys scored 185 to beat the same congruent field, LCA in back with 13 points.
Highlights for the Lady Cougars included wins from Addyson Daley in the long jump at 13-11 and Jordan Gross in shot put, sending the pill 26-9.5. Daley was second in the 100 hurdles at 18.9 and Cara McCrum added a third in high jump at 4-2.
Peter Koller was fifth in the discus at 77-03, leading the way for LCA’s boys.
Winamac Boys 108, Triton 36, Culver 19
Triton Girls 72, Winamac 65, Culver 23
Triton found a program split with visiting Winamac and Culver Thursday afternoon in Bourbon.
The Lady Trojans saw Abbey Viers win both high jump at 4-4 and discus at 98-11, Jaela Faulkner take the long jump at 14-7.5 and mile at 6:01, Anela Hill race to an 18.40 win in the 100 hurdles and the 4×100 relay team time a 1:00.69 for the win. Addyson Viers provided another win in shot put at 36-5 and Makenna May cleared 8-6 to win pole vault.
For the Trojan boys, Anthony Schuh won the 100 dash in 11.90 and Parker Arford went 5-4 to win the high jump.
