Jo Anne Kolbe
Jo Anne Kolbe, 89, Warsaw, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home, Warsaw.
She was born the daughter of Samuel and Faith Kintzel Shearer on Nov. 12, 1931, at Argos. She has continued to be a lifelong resident of Warsaw. Jo Anne enjoyed being a caretaker for many people and she was known for her sewing and knitting where she shared her talents working at Lowery sewing in Warsaw. She attended Dutch Town Brethren Church of Warsaw.
On Nov. 16, 1947, she married Paul Horn, who preceded her in death in 1972. She later married Robert R. Kolbe Sr. May 4, 1973; he preceded her in death March 3, 2011.
Those who will cherish her memories are her children, Sam (Maria) Horn, of Orlando, Fla.; Jim (Mary) Horn, of Winona Lake; Aimee (Jon) Eickmann, of Chesterfield, Mo.; Nancy (James) Clay, of Warsaw; stepchildren, Anna (Michael) Rielly, of Phoenix, Ariz.; Robert Jr., of Granger; and Janice (Ken) Cortina, of Show Low, Ariz. She was further blessed with 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Paul Horn, Robert Kolbe Sr.; her son, David Horn; stepdaughter, Anne Reilly; and brother, Jack Shearer.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 18 from 2 until 6 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St. Bourbon. Funeral services for Jo Anne will be Monday, April 19 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Michael Goble officiating. Burial will follow at Parks Cemetery in Bourbon.
In keeping with current COVID-19 regulations, masks will be required as well as being mindful of social distancing during the visitation time and funeral service.
