Oregon-Davis Baseball 29, Triton 9
It was a disastrous start for Triton baseball Thursday night at Oregon-Davis.
The Bobcats hung a 23 on the board in the bottom of the first inning, sending 29 batters to the plate. Triton pitching was largely the cause, issuing nine walks, hitting a batter, and giving up 11 hits in the frame, including a two-run homer from Davis.
O-D only had 14 hits in the game, but Triton pitchers issued 14 walks and the defense committed 11 errors.
To Triton’s credit, it managed nine runs on just two hits as the Bobcat staff was wild as well. Triton drew 10 walks and were hit by three pitches, threw nine wild pitches and the Bobcat defense coughed up four balls.
Dominic Smith doubled and drove in a run as part of the Triton (0-1) offense.
