Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 4:20 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 107 N. East St. south of Catherine Street, Milford. Driver: Juanita Shepherd, 79, North CR 100E, Warsaw. Shepherd’s vehicle left the right side of the road and struck a mailbox, lodging it under her vehicle. She said she didn’t know why her vehicle left the roadway. Damage: Up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 2:50 p.m. Monday, April 5, US 30 and Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Unknown and Jacob S. Walker, 22, Oak Glen Drive A, Warsaw. Walker said he was traveling eastbound on US 30 in the right lane. He was stopped in traffic from a red light at Meijer Drive. A vehicle with an unknown driver hit the back of his vehicle. He said the other driver pulled up next to him and told him to pull over. When Walker pulled his vehicle behind the other one, the driver of the other vehicle headed east on US 30, leaving the scene. A witness in another vehicle corroborated Walker’s story and got the license plate number off the other vehicle. The witness described the vehicle as a small red SUV. Damage: Up to $10,000.
- 1:18 p.m. Monday, April 5, US 30 west of North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Danielle A. Collins, 19, West CR 158th Court, Lowell, and Tyler K. Cook, 26, Neighbor Drive, Fort Wayne. Collins’ and Cook’s vehicles collided. Damage: Up to $10,000. Winona Lake Police assisted at the scene.
